Although it is not required to work as a Medical Assistant in California, graduates of the Medical Assistant program may pursue the CMA credential, through the guidelines at American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). Graduates of the Medical Assistant program may also pursue the NCMA credential, through the guidelines at the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
