Maternal-Child Nursing Lab provides students with hands-on practice in essential maternal and child health nursing skills. Under the guidance of instructors, students develop proficiency in performing assessments, providing care, and implementing therapeutic interventions for pregnant women, newborns, and children. Lab activities include simulated scenarios, skills demonstrations, and practice with equipment used in maternity and pediatric care.
Maternal-Child Nursing focuses on the nursing care of women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, as well as the care of newborns and children. This course emphasizes the physiological and psychosocial aspects of maternity and pediatric nursing care. Topics include prenatal care, labor and delivery, newborn assessment and care, growth and development milestones, common pediatric illnesses, and family-centered care. Through theoretical instruction, case studies, and discussion, students learn evidence-based nursing interventions, health promotion strategies, and cultural considerations relevant to maternal and child health.
