General College Admission Requirements
Listed below are the requirements and procedures that the College has established for admission to the College. For programs with specific admission requirements, please see section Additional Admission Requirements for Programs.
- Students are required to visit the College prior to enrollment to become familiar with the institution, its facilities, equipment, and available resources, and may have the opportunity to meet with faculty and staff. Applicants enrolling in fully distance education programs are not required to visit the College prior to enrollment.
- All applicants are required to meet with an Admissions Advisor.
- Applicants must take and pass a standardized entrance exam for select programs.
- All applicants must complete an enrollment agreement (must be signed by a parent or guardian if the applicant is under 18 years of age).
- All applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee upon enrollment.
- An applicant for enrollment at the College is required to possess a diploma from an accredited high school or the recognized equivalent. High school documentation from a country other than the United States must be translated and certified to be at least the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma by an agency that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE). Applicants must provide a copy of their high school diploma, transcripts, or a copy of their GED/HSE.
American Career College does not admit students that reside in other countries.
*ACC does not consider criminal background as admissions criteria; however, a criminal background may impede a student’s ability to be placed at a clinical site, secure licensing, or placement upon graduation.
