Students evaluate the construction and delivery of public speaking. Communication theory, research, and best practices are discussed in relation to informative, persuasive, and demonstrative speaking. Students present several speeches using technology in an online environment, showcasing their knowledge of informative and persuasive concepts, audience analysis, organizational patterns, verbal and nonverbal cues, visual aids, and word choice. Students practice the application of public speaking skills to future careers.
