Ask a Recruiter: Top 3 Things You Look For When Interviewing Job Applicants


At a recent career fair at American Carer College-Ontario, we asked healthcare recruiters what the top three things they look for in applicants.

1. Be passionate, patient and result-driven

"We totally understand that it's our people that keep our business growing and going so without our current team members and any future team members, SuperCare wouldn't be who SuperCare is today," Lycett Urias, a human resources supervisor with SuperCare Health, said.

2. Personality, drive and a desire to help people

"In our field, you want to help and provide services for customers, so it's that caring nature that we're looking for," Cynthia Arroyo, district manager at America's Best Contact & Eyeglasses, said.

3. Be motivated, punctual and enthusiastic

"Without those three traits, we're not gonna hire them," Kim Vura, a marketing field representative with West Coast Dental, said.
