ACC-Orange County Surgical Tech Cohorts Get Sneak Peek Of What Recruiters Want

This February, junior and senior surgical technology classes got a chance to hear firsthand what qualities, skills and experience hospital recruiters look for in an ideal candidate.

Long Beach MemorialCare clinical recruiter Jo Ann Ramirez shared with the classes what type of employment opportunities she is currently hiring for and concluded with a Q&A session where she answered many queries from curious students.

"She provided a wealth of knowledge to our students and allowed them to get an 'insider's view' on the best practices for being considered for an interview," ACC-OC Career Services director Johnny Lacey said.

MemorialCare Hospital is a valued clinical and employer partner, Lacey added, who has hired more than 15 surgical technology graduates the past two years alone.
