Students train in industry-current radiography labs that simulate clinical imaging environments. Through hands-on training, students learn to operate X-ray equipment, position patients, practice radiation safety, and evaluate images. Students also complete over 1,800 hours of off-campus clinical experience.
The radiography curriculum includes courses in anatomy and physiology, radiographic procedures, radiation physics, patient care techniques, radiation protection, and medical imaging technology, helping students build a foundation for the field.
Graduates of the ACC-Los Angeles Radiography program are eligible to apply for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification exam. Passing this exam is a key step toward becoming a registered radiologic technologist (RT).
