Orange County Physical Therapist Assistant Program Director
Janice Lwin is the Physical Therapist Assistant Program Director at American Career College’s Orange County campus. Dr. Lwin earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. She holds a specialty certification in Manual Therapy and is Board Certified in Orthopaedics. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. Dr. Lwin is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in General Psychology with an emphasis in Performance Psychology.
With a student-centric approach, Dr. Lwin exhibits a passion to educate competent clinicians and fosters a supportive community environment within the program. For her leadership and influence contributing to the success of her program, Dr. Lwin was designated 2019 Master Teacher of the Year by Elsevier and the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). She was also named Faculty of the Year by American Career College.
Dr. Lwin has been published in a peer-reviewed journal and her research on physical therapy practices have been presented at state, national and international conferences. Additionally, she has published a Physical Therapist Assistant exam preparation book with McGraw Hill.
