Eileen Johnson is a seasoned and dedicated professional with extensive expertise as a certified pharmacy technician. Prior to her academic roles, Eileen spent over two decades as a pharmacy technician at Rite Aid Corporation in Riverside, CA. There, Eileen honed her exceptional customer service and communication skills managing a plethora of responsibilities, from transcribing and preparing prescriptions to overseeing inventory control and billing.
Before stepping into her current role, Eileen served as an instructor and externship coordinator at ACC’s Anaheim campus from 2005 to 2008, furthering her mission to educate and train pharmaceutical professionals. In 2016, she completed her associate degree in math and science at Riverside City College.
As Pharmacy Technician Program Director at American Career College in Ontario, Eileen has been a driving force in shaping the next generation of pharmacy technicians. Her multifaceted role involves not only teaching pharmacy technician courses—both on-site with hands-on labs and through distance education platforms—but also overseeing program retention, mentoring staff and ensuring compliance with ABHES accreditation standards.
Eileen is not only a leader in pharmacy education but also a certified Mental Health First Aid Provider and Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider, reflecting her commitment to holistic well-being. Her comprehensive experience in both clinical and educational settings, coupled with her passion for mentorship and program development, has served her well as she helps students prepare for the pharmaceutical field.
