American Career College-Ontario said goodbye to 2018 and hello to 37 new graduates with one final pinning ceremony before the new year.
The graduates of the vocational nursing program lined the stage dressed in white as family and friends gathered to help them celebrate the start of a new journey. The graduates each received a pin from their faculty member of choice, followed by lighting their candles and reciting the nursing pledge.
It was a bittersweet moment for many of the grads as they said goodbye with a heartfelt video full of memories from their time at ACC-Ontario. Class speaker James Watson told of how close the cohort had become throughout their journey.
“They told us in the beginning that these people were going to become your family,” Watson said. “Seeing them that often, five days a week for 13 weeks straight, it was like that. I consider them my family.”
