After graduating from high school, Marcel Hawkins set his sights on becoming a respiratory therapist. He grew up watching his parents work in the medical field and wanted to do the same.
"RT is just so rewarding," he said. "I get to be right there at patients' bedside, helping them get through one of the hardest times in their lives."
Looking back at his time at American Career College-Ontario, Hawkins was thankful for all the support he received during the two-year program and encouraged new students to stick it out no matter what.
"It's not an easy road," Hawkins said. "But as long as you keep your head up and have a good support system, you’ll make it through and it'll totally change your life!"
