Instructor, Orange County Pharmacy Technician Program
Dr. Fahimi is a distinguished leader in pharmacy education and healthcare administration with more than 20 years of experience in teaching, research, and clinical work.
Dr. Fahimi holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), Iran, where she also completed a Clinical Pharmacy Residency program. She then went on to complete a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship in Endocrinology at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans. She is currently pursuing an EdD in Leadership and Learning with a specialization in Healthcare Administration and Leadership at Aspen University in Colorado.
Dr. Fahimi has authored 80 published articles and 16 books. Her contributions to the field have earned her numerous accolades, including the Top Gun Award for excellence in online teaching and multiple nominations for the Anton Awards for innovative teaching methods. She has been twice recognized as Best Researcher of the Year by Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. Additionally, Dr. Fahimi ranked fifth in the Health Services Research Section at the Razi Festival in Iran.
Dr. Fahimi’s extensive professional experience includes serving on the editorial board of the Iranian Journal of Pharmaceutical Research (IJPR), managing pharmacy operations as head of the pharmaceutical care department at Masih Daneshvari Hospital in Tehran, and serving as a faculty member at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (SBMU) as well as Loma Linda University in their School of Pharmacy.
In her current role as a Pharmacy Technician Instructor at ACC’s Orange County campus, Dr. Fahimi instructs a range of pharmacy technician courses. She previously oversaw faculty and led professional development as Program Director. Her extensive experience and achievements make Dr. Fahimi an inspiring and invaluable member of the ACC community.
