ACC’s Optical Technician program helps prepare you for a rewarding career as an optical technician, optical lab technician or contact lens fitter. Through online coursework and hands-on training, ACC’s optical technician school in Los Angeles trains students to conduct eye exam pre-screening tests, dispense eyeglasses, adjust/repair frames and more.

Jacsia Polanco, LDO ABOC

Director of Optical Technician Program at ACC-Los Angeles

A graduate of the ACC-LA Optics program herself, Jacsia has worked in the field for almost 30 years. She is certified by the American Board of Optometry as well as licensed by the state of California as a Registered Spectacle Dispenser. Before assuming the role of Program Director, Jacsia served as the Externship Coordinator for the ACC-LA Optical Technician program. She worked for Luxottica for 13 years and worked for National Vision for 4 years.
