Mary Jacob, RDA

Program Director, Los Angeles Dental Assisting Program

Mary is a skilled dental professional with a wealth of experience in occupational education management. She is a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) through the State of California and first began working as a dental assistant in 1971. Since then, she has worked for numerous clinics and held versatile job titles including x-ray technician, office manager and insurance biller.

Mary went on to obtain her Phase 1 and Phase 2 teaching credentials from UCLA in 1987. In 1991, she was recognized as “Employee of the Year” during her time as Director of Education at Concorde Career College. She joined ACC in July of 1997 and in 2007, she received the "Above and Beyond" award for her commitment to overseeing the Dental Assisting program.

Mary holds multiple dental licenses and certifications including sealant application and methodology, coronal polishing, dental x-rays and more. In her role as Program Director at ACC - Los Angeles, Mary participates in curriculum development, administrative oversight and selecting program faculty.
