Thanks to the generosity of its students and staff, American Career College donated more than one ton of canned goods to area food banks this November.
ACC-Los Angeles was able to raise more than 400 pounds of canned food in only two weeks for the LA Food Bank.
“With the help of our wonderful students and staff, we were able to bring joy and cheer to families who are less fortunate,” ACC-LA Student Services coordinator Ruthy Rodriguez said, who also helped deliver the donation to the warehouse.
ACC-Orange County’s students donated online and at the campus, raising more than $550 and collecting more than 14 boxes of food. The virtual donation equates to more than 2,100 pounds of food and 1,600 meals for the Second Harvest Food Bank.
“ACC-OC is a school community that gives back and is committed to making a difference,” ACC-OC Student Services director Valerie Dickson said. “We take pride in our students, our associates and faculty, and in our community.”
