Eleven dental assisting students from American Career College-Ontario volunteered their time at a dental clinic to help out the Riverside community during February.
ACC students had the opportunity to observe doctors performing different types of dental procedures on various patients at the Eastvale Free Dental and Vision Screening Day on Feb. 10. Students also had the opportunity to place fluoride on patients.
“It was a great opportunity for instructors to observe students interacting with patients,”ACC-Ontario dental assistant program director Lydia Saenz said. “Our students did a great job representing ACC.”
The free clinic was held at River Heights Intermediate School and open to anyone in need of dental work, vision help or health insurance registration.
