American Career College-Los Angeles hosted a Student Appreciation Rally with a Disneyland theme, offering students a break to begin the fall filled with fun activities and treats to boost their mood as they complete their programs.
“We had food, music, dancing, games, and more,” Brenda Clydesdale from ACC-Los Angeles Student Services said. “Students were able to gather and have fun with one another, which they very much seemed to enjoy. I had students tell me how impressed and shocked they were with everything that we did, that they have never seen schools do this for students.”
ACC-LA Executive Director Lani Townsend dressed up as Elsa while many other students and staff donned costumes of various Disney icons.
Students were treated to In-N-Out burgers, which were served outdoors by the restaurant’s mobile cookout trailer. TYE Hollywood, a DJ from iHeartRadio, played music throughout the day, creating a lively atmosphere where students could dance and let loose. Students also had the chance to win prizes through a raffle, including Disney merchandise and a few pairs of Bluetooth audio glasses.
“We have our student appreciation days quarterly, so students don’t forget how much we do appreciate and value them,” Brenda said.
