More than 1,400 graduates from American Career College received their diplomas at the Toyota Center in Ontario this June, making it the largest graduation in ACC history.
The Spring 2025 graduation showcased ACC's 13 diverse program offerings including medical assistant, to optical technician, nursing, and more. Graduates proudly donned cords denoting honors: gold for Dean’s Lis t, red for perfect attendance, silver for HSE credentials, purple for Student Ambassadors, green/black for ACC‑Ready milestones, and red, white, and blue cords for students who are veterans of the United States military.
Angela and Ash A., a married couple going through their Surgical Technology program together at ACC-Orange County, persevered through challenges by encouraging each other through their journey.
“There was definitely moments where it tested our patience... [but] we pushed through... [and] thought about the outcome,” Angela recounted.
Graduates cheered, danced, and embraced their accomplishments alongside applauding family and friends. One new vocational nurse, Elizabeth S., captured the spirit of the event.
“I might cry... I cried this morning too, getting ready. It's a surreal moment... No [other school] compared to this program,” she said.
Jazlyn P., a graduate of ACC-Los Angeles’ Medical Assisting program, spoke about the significance of having her young daughter as a motivator through school.
“I had a child at an early age and felt stuck. But I made it through. I want the best for my daughter, so I’m doing my best to give her the best,” Jazlyn said. “I knew I had to better myself. ACC helped me accomplish my dreams.”
