A group of massage therapy students from American Career College-Ontario took a trip to Corona this May and got a chance to rub shoulders with staff at a high-end spa.
ACC-Ontario massage therapy program director Anne Holt and Career Services specialist Aracely Patterson helped organize the trip to Glen Ivy Hot Springs spa, which offers its clients a variety of massage and body treatments. Established in 1860 at the base of the Santa Ana mountain range, Glen Ivy Hot Springs stretches across 12 acres and offers 19 pools and whirlpools, including the historic mineral baths.
"A Glen Ivy visit is sure to remind our students of all that is possible for them when they graduate and pass MBLEX," ACC-Ontario Education Director Amanda Ramos said.
Students got to tour the facility, talk to spa staff and also had an opportunity to meet with Glen Ivy hiring managers to set up future appointments for interviews.
"After the tour, the students got a chance to relax a bit and enjoy the many amenities that Glen Ivy has to offer," Holt said.
