Do I need prior healthcare experience or specific prerequisites to enroll?

No prior healthcare experience is required to enroll at American Career College. All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent). During the admissions process, your advisor will review any additional requirements and guide you through each step.

How do I apply to American Career College?

Please note that the program is currently pending approval from the Texas Board of Nursing (TBON). You may begin your application by contacting the Admissions Department. An Admissions Advisor will walk you through the next steps, answer your questions, and assist with required documents.

Yes. ACC provides dedicated Career Services to help students prepare for the workforce. Advisors assist with resume building, interview practice, and job search strategies, and can connect you with employers and industry partners. While employment cannot be guaranteed, our goal is to help you transition confidently into your career.

Does ACC offer externship or clinical placement opportunities?

Yes. ACC's ADN program includes clinical rotations as part of the curriculum. These supervised experiences allow you to apply your classroom knowledge in real healthcare settings and gain valuable hands-on experience before graduation.

Is academic or tutoring support available?

Yes. ACC offers tutoring, academic advising, and skills lab support for students who need extra help. These services are designed to strengthen your understanding of key concepts and prepare you for success in both classroom learning and clinical practice.

Is financial aid available, and how do I apply?

Yes. Financial aid is available for those who qualify. To apply, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) and meet with an ACC Financial Aid Advisor. Advisors help review eligibility and develop a personalized plan that may include grants, scholarships, and loans.
