The Dental Assisting program at ACC helps prepare students for a successful career as a dental assistant in as little as 10 months. The comprehensive program covers topics such as anatomy, physiology and microbiology as it relates to oral health. The curriculum also covers lab procedures, radiography, anesthetics and more.
At ACC, you’ll be trained to maintain dental records, sterilize instruments and equipment, prepare patients for treatment, hand instruments and materials to the dentist on demand and more.
Your dental assistant training also includes a 180-hour externship where you’ll have the opportunity to demonstrate and reinforce the knowledge and skills you’ve learned hands-on throughout the program.
Graduates of the dental assisting program are eligible to pursue the registered dental assistant (RDA) credential and leave ACC confident that they are well prepared for a successful career in a dental office, outpatient care center or physician’s office.
