Licensed Vocational Nurses

In order to work as a vocational nurse, graduates must pass the NCLEX-PN (National Council Licensure Examination) exam to become licensed by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.

Students have 12 months from their graduation date to take the NCLEX exam.  Students requesting that ACC certify their application to test 12 months after their graduation must complete the ACC remediation plan prior to ACC recertifying the application to test. ACC's remediation plan requires that students achieve the ATI green light and pass a skills check-off assessment.
