‘The Heat is On’ During ACC-Ontario’s Summer Attendance Challenge

06/20/2016

Summer is here! That means warm weather and school is out — except at American Career College.

While ACC’s accelerated programs have classes through the summer, students at the Ontario campus are in for a treat — namely pizza, nacho and hot dog parties as reward for having the best school attendance.

“Our Attendance Challenge is a fun way to engage students and share the importance of learning in class and with their peers, while earning fun extras along the way,” Natalie Mendoza, ACC-Ontario’s Education Department Administrative Assistant and Challenge coordinator shared. “Many of our students have children who have time off during the summer so we recognize the challenge and hope this fun activity motivates them to keep learning in their field.”

"The Heat is On" Summer Attendance Challenge is off to a great start during May. One respiratory therapy and one medical billing and coding class had a 98 percent attendance during May and earned a pizza party for the class and lunch for the faculty members. Two classes in second-place received cupcakes.
