American Career College-Los Angeles held a blood drive in partnership with the Red Cross on August 31. The blood drive collected 51 pints of blood, which will save 151 Lives.
ACC-LA students also helped schedule and register participants for the blood drive. As a thank you for their service, the Red Cross provided food for the Student Ambassadors, who helped them.
“Our ACC Class Ambassadors are very proud to help Red Cross and willing to continue to helping the community,” Academic Retention Specialist Valentina Aslanyan said.
ACC-LA hosts Red Cross blood drives quarterly and the next one, November 23, will also feature Be the Match, an organization operated by the National Marrow Donor Program. Be the Match’s mission is to save lives of those who have blood cancer such as Leukemia and Lymphoma through testing people for marrow matches.
To participate in the next drive, save the date for November 23 at ACC-LA!
