Employers, students and community members networked during American Career College-Ontario’s Health and Community Fair on April 4.
ACC-Ontario’s free community event hosted more than 118 local employers, free blood pressure screenings, flu shots and chair massages from some of our skilled ACC students and graduates.
“Three employers conducted onsite interviews and one surgical tech graduate was hired on the spot,” Juan Carlos Jimenez, ACC-Ontario director of career services, exclaimed. “Four additional employers committed to conduct onsite interviews at ACC-Ontario over the next couple of weeks.”
The campus held the event in conjunction with their Student Appreciation Day where students enjoyed a free taco lunch after meeting with employers on site.
Red Cross also held a blood drive on-site where they collected 25 donations.
“This equates to possibly 75 lives impacted by the donations of ACC students,” Robert Bahler, Southern California regional account manager for American Red Cross, shared. “It is always an honor to partner with American Career College in hosting blood drives on campus. In the last twelve months, ACC students have given more than 200 donations of blood to help local patients.”
