Representatives from Pacific Dental Services visited the American Career College-Orange County campus recently to speak with dental assisting students about potential job opportunities.
"They gave some important advice," Cecilia Cabrera, ACC-Orange County dental assisting program director, said, "especially when they mentioned the same information that we always tell our students regarding attitude, attendance, professionalism and cellphone use."
Pacific Dental Services also invited the students to visit their office for a field trip and seminar on the use of their latest equipment.
"Due to the hard work and good relationship of our extern representative, Deborah Taylor, with these employers, it opened more opportunities for our students. They also mentioned how many open requisitions they currently have in some of the offices around the area and encouraged our students to apply," she said.
Cabrera also praised ACC-OC's education team, which help keeps the students on track not just with their academic requirements but also with their professionalism and some soft skills.
"I’m very proud and very happy that our hard work is paying off," she said.
