American Career College’s LA Campus Donates 50 Pints of Blood to American Red Cross

On Thursday, May 24, 2012, American Career College’s Los Angeles campus partnered with the American Red Cross to hold a Blood Drive. With the help of ACC students, faculty, and members of the community, we were able to donate 50 pints of blood, which makes this yet another successful blood drive! According to the America’s Blood Centers’ website, 1 pint of blood saves three lives; therefore, the 50 pints of blood we donated will help save 150 lives. In the future, we hope that with the continued support of ACC students, faculty, and the communities we serve, we will generate more blood donations to help save even more lives.

Both our students and our surrounding community did a fantastic job donating, and we are very happy with the outstanding results. Not only were our donors given the great satisfaction of helping save peoples’ lives, but they also received a coupon for admission to the Laugh Factory and a voucher for two tickets to an upcoming LA Galaxy game.

American Career College prides itself on creating change that helps people. With the Blood Drives we hold, we hope to inspire our students to realize how their future careers in health care will truly make a difference. With the education they receive in our 10 health care career training programs, our students will not only succeed in their future professions, but will also have the satisfaction of knowing that they are helping to improve peoples’ lives. We thank our community and students for donating, and we would like to remind you that we will need your support for our next Blood Drive!
