ACC-LA Helps Save Lives Through Blood Donation

On September 17, 2012, the American Career College LA campus held a successful Blood Drive with the American Red Cross and had 69 blood donors who registered.  We were fortunate to have so many volunteers, with people filing in line to donate blood! Each pint of blood has a chance to save up to three lives, so we are proud to say that we have helped save up to 162 lives.

At ACC, we strive to give back to our community. We thank our community members, students, and faculty volunteers who donated on Monday. We believe that as health care educators, we have a crucial responsibility to set an example, and we hope to share this belief with our students. By hosting donation events like these, we hope to contribute positively to our society and connect our students with their communities. They learn about giving back and what it means to be a health care professional.

We would like to thank all of our staff who managed the event and all of our community members, students, and faculty who donated. If you missed this blood drive in LA, stay tuned to our Facebook and our events page for more information on the next blood drive! Below, you can view pictures from the event.
