Josh Cosa: One Person, Making a Change and Making a Difference

“If your perspective is centered on compassion,” Josh Cosa believes, “the work you do becomes so much more than simply a job.”

Josh, Didactic Instructor for Respiratory Therapy at American Career College’s Orange County campus, walks the talk. When he isn’t skillfully mentoring the college’s health care students, Josh is passionately serving the community through his church. As just one example, he helps guide “Treasure Box,” a program that provides affordable food to low-income families, single parents and the elderly. Josh and his wife often purchase extra food boxes and personally deliver them to those in need.

He sees many parallels between his community volunteerism and his work at ACC. “It’s a privilege to know that I have an opportunity to help our students become compassionate, caring health care professionals. ACC breeds that kind of patient care, and it’s gratifying to be able to work in a setting where concern for people – our students as well as those whose lives they will one day touch – comes first.”
